Ferrari 330 GTC “Barnfind

Ferrari barn find Ferrari 330 GTC

Here you can see an example of a so-called “barn find”. Such cars are usually found by chance in an old barn, covered in dirt and dust from the last three decades. Such a car is neither roadworthy nor functional. The following steps are carried out during a restoration: Approx. 3000 hours investment, total duration of the restoration approx. 18 months.

From A-Z, everything is simply touched. It is important to know that everything must be original. The Ferrari is restored exactly as it left the factory. In this case, Niki Hasler AG has the necessary technical documents, original samples and knowledge.

Rough procedure:
– Find all numbers and check that everything is original (engine, chassis, gearbox, alternator, shock absorbers)
– Completely dismantle the car (every screw, hose, cable, bearing)
– Complete overhaul of engine, gearbox and axles (base bore, pistons, cylinder liners, bearings)
– Clean suspension completely down to bare metal, check and powder coat, galvanize, nickel plate as original
– Overhaul all wearing parts such as shock absorbers, starter motor, alternator, etc.
– Completely strip the body and chassis, check, repair, apply rust protection and paint
