Lista Racing Corner
In the Lista Racing Box, visitors to the autobau erlebniswelt can experience excerpts from the career of the highly successful entrepreneur and racing driver Fredy Lienhard. Throughout his professional life, the Swiss has raced. Starting out with soapboxes, the racing virus caught him while he was still in his infancy. After a serious accident as a young man in his mid-twenties during a hill climb, in which he suffered several cervical vertebrae fractures, he switched from formula cars to closed racing cars. It was only when he ventured onto the international professional scene years later that he got behind the wheel of racing cars without a governing body again. As a regular driver in the Lista Racing Team, he celebrated many successes, his greatest being victory in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2002. The Lista Racing Box showcases the legacy of an exceptional businessman and racing driver and is therefore, in a way, the cradle of the autobau world of experience. In addition to many trophies, Fredy Lienhard's badly damaged helmet from the 1970s and the completely bent steering wheel of his racing car also impressively show the darker side of this high-risk sport.
