Art and high-quality automobiles are a perfect match. At least that’s how the operators of the MAC Museum Art & Cars in Singen am Hohentwiel, Germany, see it. Changing exhibitions skillfully showcase cars and art together. The extraordinary architecture of the museum building, which is considered unique in southern Germany, is already impressive. Lovers of classic cars should plan a visit to the Classic Center Switzerland. Here, at the heart of Emil Frey Classics AG in Safenwil, Switzerland, everything revolves around classic cars, especially English collectors’ vehicles from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Emil Frey AG has been in existence since 1924 and is the oldest Jaguar importer in the world. The Emil Frey Museum focuses on high-quality vintage and classic cars.
How nice it would be to run hundreds of kilometers through Switzerland in 1 hour! This is possible with “Smilestones”. The Benedictine community, which is still active, looks back on 900 years of monastery history and puts its heart and soul into its beers. Open Air Tours promises “More grip for the mind”. Since 2004, the organizer has been offering “Emotainment”, which includes selected tours for convertible and sports car drivers of all kinds. Lovers of open-top topless driving pleasure in particular get their money’s worth. The tours lead through scenic surroundings and are offered free of charge, which is made possible by a number of sponsors and partners. Open Air Tours also provides clubs with a platform on which they can present themselves, as well as an experienced partner for event and tour planning. Open Air Tours also rents out premium sports cars and offers driver training.
The Locorama Romanshorn is located not far from the autobau erlebniswelt. The focus there is on historic railroad facilities, which also house a museum. The Lokremise exhibits various historic locomotives and carriages that are not just a delight for railroad fans. In addition, the mechanical control of train traffic can be viewed in signal boxes. Children and teenagers in particular have a lot of fun on the garden railroad, which gives a real “railroad feeling” over a distance of a good 280 meters. The museum is run by an association and you can always see the enthusiasm and knowledge of the active members on the subject of railroads. A visit to Locorama is therefore not only worthwhile for passionate railroad enthusiasts, but for anyone with an interest in the development of transportation, technology and vehicles.
Immerse yourself in a world that combines power, fascination, technology and world history? The Saurer Museum on the picturesque shores of Lake Constance in Arbon was able to do this skillfully. The museum’s volunteer operators are keen to give visitors an unforgettable experience with many impressions of the Saurer company. In addition to the historic and still operational vehicles such as trucks, buses, military vehicles, fire engines and post buses, embroidery and weaving machines of all generations are also on display, all of which were manufactured in Arbon and are still in operation. Enjoy a trip through an exciting period of history in a rustic museum that smells of workshops, oil and machines. Because all these vehicles, embroidery and weaving machines have a very unique story to tell – you just need a little time to listen carefully…
Rallyes, tours and excursions with the Oldtimerland Bodensee The shortened perception is: “Oldtimer drivers are nice people”. However, classic car enthusiasts are generally always individualists who are just as keen to enjoy the community experience. But in addition to collecting and restoring, driving is always at the forefront of the classic car passion. The Oldtimerland Bodensee offers the right event and tour for all friends of the old sheet metal at any time of the year and at any moment. From individual tours to (medium-sized) major events, we offer the right format for classic car rally and touring enthusiasts. The “Mille Fiori” has been a well-known pleasure rally for almost 20 years, the winter “Seegefrörnen” is for the hard-boiled and the “Oldtimerbrunch” is a meeting place for all fans of old metal. However, we do enjoy the “picnic, literature and garden tours”. The Lake Constance region, the Alps and northern Italy are a cornucopia of exciting possibilities and it is our pleasure to experience them with you.
Historic Flight Maintenance HFM GmbH (CH.MF.4064) is a maintenance company recognized by the FOCA in accordance with Part M, Subpart F. Historic Flight Maintenance was founded primarily to maintain the historic Swiss fighter jets that are now registered for civilian use. In addition, we also regularly maintain EASA / Annex II aircraft.
